it's... alive

finally, Mozilla has come out with their long, long-awaited 1.0 "release candidate" (whatever that means - it's somewhere in between a beta and gold release or something ... whatever, the point is it's just about there).
as someone who had long since given up on the whole Mozilla movement after suffering through the frustrating let-down that was Netscape 6, I have to say I am more than pleasantly surprised. Mozilla is a worthy contender, if only for two reasons:
- the tabbed window browser, which lets you open multiple sites within the same browser instance - especially designed for folks like me who typically multi-task between 5-10 browser windows at once
- you can turn off pop-up windows - forever
