Working the phones
October 28, 2004
One of the few downsides to living in San Francisco is that during an election year, the city turns into a giant political echo chamber. Opposing viewpoints are nowhere to be found; and in five years of living in this city, I have yet to meet a living, breathing Republican (or at least one who would admit to it).
Tired of kvetching to the converted, this weekend I'm going to invest a few hours dialing for swing voters at one of Kerry's San Francisco phonebanks. If you're in SF (or anywhere else) and have a couple of hours to burn, I can't think of a more worthwhile thing to do this weekend.
