If it's Tuesday, this must be Vermont
November 1, 2005
Perpetuating my peripatetic ways, I've landed in Ludlow, Vermont (thanks to Bill and Jocelyn, who rented me their vacation house for a few weeks).
With the ski herds still a couple of weeks away, the action in Ludlow consists mostly of turning leaves, an occasional snow flurry, and deer trekking by along the snowmobile trails. It's a good place to sit and work. There is, happily, not much else to do.
Sunday, I took the day off and wandered down to Saxtons River to sit with a group of Celtic Buddhists (an intriguing bunch of folks), then drove up to Hanover to catch a matinee of Proof (which I quite enjoyed, though I imagine it worked better as a play). Now I'm back at the house, soaking in the quiet, and reminding myself that I ought to be working.
